Hello, wonderful humans!
Thank you for joining us on this mission – it means the world to have you with us. This is the first of our quarterly updates where we’ll share what we’ve been up to, what’s coming next, and how you can get more involved in building something better, together.
What a ride. Honestly, we were a bit terrified when we launched – but we believed in this so deeply, we jumped anyway. Three months in, we now have proof of concept: you’ve shown us we’re not alone in wanting change.
The "Big Three" (BACP, Counselling Directory, Psychology Today) have dominated for too long – with high advertising costs and little real innovation. Your support shows there’s a real appetite for a new approach. Thank you for taking a chance on us.
We’re seeing a steady rise in traffic, which is brilliant news! So keep your profiles updated, engaging, and authentic – it really helps turn views into enquiries.
We’re also working hard on SEO, though we’re up against giants with big budgets. Still, we’re not backing down. Every new subscriber gives us collective power, so please continue sharing, liking, and commenting on our posts – it all helps.
We hit a few early tech snags (the address search and password reset were super annoying) but have resolved them quickly and taken your feedback seriously. To keep your account secure, we recommend using a password manager — they create strong passwords and prevent login headaches.
New Feature: You can now download a profile badge to add to your website! Many of you requested this, so... voilà! You'll find it in your profile settings.
We’re aiming for 1,000 active subscriptions before we can start providing financial support to counsellors in need. That goal isn’t far off — and it’s part of what makes us truly different. Giving back isn’t just a marketing line for us — it’s a core principle.
We’re really excited about this! Want to write for our blog?
Whether it’s about your area of interest, your practice, or a personal experience, we’d love to read your work. Email submissions to publish@timefortherapy.co.uk. We’ll review them and let you know if your article is a fit.
This is a great opportunity to:
That’s all for this month – thank you again for being here. Together, we’re not just building a platform, we’re building a movement.
With gratitude,
The Time for Therapy Team
