If we decide to work together, I’ll be alongside you — listening gently, helping you explore what you need, what supports your wellbeing, and what helps you feel more like yourself again.
I especially welcome trans and other LGBTQIA+ clients, and I recognise how important it is to feel affirmed in your identity. This work often involves unpacking messages from the outside world and building a deeper sense of self-acceptance and safety.
I'm also sensitive to cultural differences, and I’m open to learning from your unique lived experience — including how racism, discrimination, or marginalisation may have affected your life and mental health.
I hold an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling, and have completed additional training in:
- Attachment and Trauma
- Working with Dissociative Disorders
- Counselling Young People
- The Sesame Model of Creative Arts Therapy
Over the past 25+ years, I’ve worked in a range of roles — as a counsellor in a GP surgery, a carers support service, and an abuse survivors charity, and also as a refuge worker and support worker. This has given me lots of experience supporting people with complex trauma, neurodivergence, learning and physical disabilities, and mental health challenges.
