Integrative Therapy
Integrative therapy is a flexible and personalised approach to counselling that combines techniques from different therapeutic models. It draws on various theories, such as psychodynamic, humanistic or cognitive behavioural, to suit each client’s unique needs, goals and personal experiences.
Rather than following one fixed method, integrative therapy adapts to the client’s situation. The therapist selects appropriate techniques based on what is most effective, aiming to address emotional, behavioural and relational challenges holistically, while supporting self-awareness and long-term growth.
Integrative therapy is suitable for people facing a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief or life transitions. It is ideal for those seeking a tailored approach that considers their personality, background and preferences within the therapeutic process.
During a session, the therapist may blend approaches such as talking therapy, mindfulness, creative exercises or cognitive techniques. The focus is collaborative, helping clients understand their thoughts, feelings and behaviours, while exploring new strategies to cope, heal and create meaningful change.
