Long Covid
Long Covid is a physical illness which can significantly impact the mental health of individuals in different ways. Understanding and addressing it through therapy can lead to improved well-being and quality of life.
Long Covid is when symptoms from a Covid-19 infection continue for weeks or months after the initial illness. It can affect anyone, even if their original Covid symptoms were mild or moderate.
People with Long Covid often experience fatigue, brain fog, shortness of breath, and pain. It can be frustrating and scary not knowing when or if things will improve, especially when symptoms come and go or aren't always taken seriously.
Living with Long Covid can impact mood, relationships, work, and identity. It may cause anxiety, low mood, or isolation. Therapy offers space to cope with uncertainty, manage emotions, and rebuild confidence and self-compassion during recovery.
