Suicidal Ideation
Suicidal Ideation is a distressing and serious mental health concern that requires timely intervention and therapeutic support.
Suicidal ideation refers to thinking about, considering, or planning suicide. It can range from fleeting thoughts to detailed planning. These thoughts often stem from overwhelming emotional pain, hopelessness, or mental health struggles, but they do not always lead to action.
People experiencing suicidal ideation may feel trapped, worthless, or like a burden to others. They might withdraw socially, lose interest in activities, or express feelings of despair. Some may have difficulty sleeping or concentrating and feel emotionally numb or disconnected from others.
Suicidal ideation can significantly affect daily functioning, relationships, and overall wellbeing. It may increase risk of self-harm or suicide attempts if left unaddressed. Therapy provides a safe space to explore these thoughts, build coping strategies, and treat underlying conditions like depression or trauma.
