I am a qualified counsellor who empathically supports people in recovering from all kinds of trauma so they can live the life they want to live.
Although I am trained in different psychological approaches, you and I will work together to find out what is right for you. You are unique and we will tailor therapy to fit you, getting you to where you want to be. I work in person from my therapy space in Abergavenny town centre or online which means I can be very flexible with sessions and work with your schedule.
I can support you with many mental health issues, for example; anxiety, depression, Postnatal depression, pregnancy and birth trauma, grief, PTSD, CPTSD, childhood trauma, abuse, domestic violence, anger, intrusive thoughts and images, ADHD, neurodiversity, work related stress, gender and sexuality issues, chronic illness such as Long Covid, and more. My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming and I also work with all different cultures and religious beliefs; you can be sure you will be safe, respected and valued by me.
My particular specialism is in supporting women with ADHD, whether you have a formal diagnosis or not. I have seen and personally experienced the life changing effect of therapy in helping women like us finally learn who we are, why our brains work the way they do, and realise we are not broken.
I have a First Class Degree from The University of South Wales in Counselling and Therapeutic Practice. I am fully insured and a registered member of the BACP.
BA (Hons) Counselling and Therapeutic Practice (First Class) from the University of South Wales
Counsellor at The Calm Place - my private practice.
Visiting Lecturer at the University of South Wales, Newport Campus.
Volunteer Counsellor for Mind from 2024 to 2025 (Cwm Taf Morgannwg Mind, Merthyr Tydfil, Wales)
If all this sounds interesting, contact me to chat things through and maybe book a short, free, trial session to see if how I work could help you.
