Lift access to therapy room
Hello, I’m Sarah a warm and empathic counsellor offering therapy for adults. I work face to face with clients from a therapy room in Cheadle Hulme where you will find a welcoming, caring environment, a place of genuine acceptance in which you can explore and reflect on the issues that are troubling you.
I also offer online sessions via Zoom.
Life events can be tough to work through, past issues can raise ongoing difficulties, the workplace and relationships can be demanding and challenging. We can experience shame and guilt and the belief that we’re not good enough.
This is where counselling can support you, providing space just for you, a time to talk, be listened to, reflect and make sense of your feelings.
I work integratively, blending my main approach, person-centred therapy, with other modalities and interventions such as cognitive behavioural therapy, psychoeducation, self-compassion and relaxation techniques.
The therapy I offer is non-directive, my role is not to guide you or tell you what to do but I will be alongside you as you gain a deeper understanding of yourself. I appreciate the uniqueness of every client’s experience and by challenging gently, with compassion, I will support you in finding your way and understanding what you want to change or achieve.
The focus of our work together will be on you as the expert in your life, we will explore your experiences, thoughts and feelings, at your pace, allowing opportunities for deeper reflection as you work through your concerns.
I want you to feel valued, respected and understood as you become empowered on your journey of self-discovery and personal growth.
Finding the right counsellor for you is an important first step. I offer each new client an initial twenty minute online consultation without charge. This will give us the opportunity to meet, discuss your needs, how I work and check that we feel comfortable working together.
